passive income

Did you know there are thousands of ways to earn passive income?

It is amazing that there are so many ways of making money online and not many people know about them. It takes a lot of research to find such gigs.

But the biggest challenge with these extra moneymakers is figuring out what is worth your time. I never believed that making money online passively was a possible option. But now I am convinced.

Did you know that you can earn good extra cash online totally PASSIVELY?

Surprised!!! You surely can.

Earning money online passively has many advantages. It gives you freedom to do other things while the money adds up.

My last post about extra money-making options was helpful to many of my readers. I am really happy about that, and it inspired me to find more easy ways of making extra cash.

So how do you do it?

There are many big brands and companies doing research on how an average person uses the web, their search trends, and their spending habits.

It helps them to make the products even better and more relevant. For this purpose, these brands have some tools that help record the user’s data—your data.

You have to download their apps; it’s as simple as that. The app or the software runs in the background and collects data. According to most of these brands’ websites, there is no collection of private data.

I know $1,500 might not be a significant figure to make in a year, but there is no other way you can make that amount without you having to work for it.

Without making you wait further, here are the passive ways you can make side cash.

Here are some unique ways of earning passive income:

#1. Nielsen Mobile Panel

Nielsen is the most trusted company in the market research industry. It uses its app to monitor data usage on phones, tablets, or any other mobile devices. The data is kept anonymous, and it does not affect the speed of your device. The app runs in the background.

The cool part is after you register and download the app, you get up to $50 rewards per year.

Approx Earnings:

$50/year

#2. Swagbucks TV

I am a BIG fan of Swagbucks. It has been quite a big side earner for me. But the biggest earner for anyone who uses Swagbucks is when you use it to watch TV or videos.

Swagbucks has three apps for watching videos, and you can rake in up to $80 or $90 a month by watching them. All you do is play the videos on your devices in the background and just press the play button intermittently. That’s pretty passive, isn’t it?!

I use Swagbucks for many things, but the videos are the biggest plus for extra cash. Of all the ways of making money from Swagbucks, this is the most passive and most rewarding.

up to $900/year

#3. MobileXpression

MobileXpression is another research company trying to study web usage through collecting data from mobile devices. It is pretty much similar to Nielsen, and after one week of keeping the app, you get a $5 Amazon gift card.

According to its website, there is no sharing of personal data and your privacy is of the utmost importance. The app runs in the background, and the functionality of the device is not affected by the app.

You enter into weekly prize draws and most of the time everyone wins.

Approx Earnings:

$20/year

Now, this is a cool app that collects data about user shopping trends. You have to download the app and sync it with your Amazon account (you need to have an Amazon account for this). After you sync the account, you instantly get paid $3 in bonus, and you get $3 every month after that if you keep the app.

#5. Smart Panel

Smart Panel is from Verto Analytics, which is a well-known market research company. You have to download the app and keep it running on the system. There is a little questionnaire to see if you qualify. If you do, then after downloading the app, you get a $5 bonus.

Thereafter, you are paid $5 every month as long as you keep the app. You can redeem through PayPal or Amazon gift cards.

There is a bonus for long-term members like an extra $10 after six months and $15 after nine months.

Approx Earnings:

$100/year

#6. Media Insider Panel

This research panel monitors user behavior across all media. It studies TV viewing and media trends. You have to download the app onto your mobile device/PC and your get paid to keep it on your system.

You also enter into weekly sweepstakes. Three mobile devices and one PC are allowed per household.

Active users can make up to $185 per year. You can either redeem through PayPal or eGift cards.

Approx Earnings:

$185/year

#7. Cross Media Panel

Cross Media Panel is quite simple and works like the others; you download and install the app onto your computer, mobile device or tablet. You do your normal web searching, and this app runs in the background.

Once you install the app, you get $3. And after that, you get $2 every week for keeping the app. Google backs this panel, so there is no question about legitimacy.

Approx Earnings:

$100/year

#8. Nielsen Digital Voice

Nielsen Digital Voice, backed by Nielsen, is quite a popular one, and with many using this app, there is no doubt about the legitimacy of the company.

After you qualify, you have to download the app onto your computer, and it works in a similar fashion as those mentioned above. It collects data about your internet usage.

You get to enter into sweepstakes, and according to its website, an active member can win up to $1,000 every month.

There will be some concerns especially when it comes to sharing your data.

Remember these things:

  • Legitimate brands support most of these panels like Google, Nielsen, etc.
  • If you want to be very sure of retaining your privacy, have a read of each company’s privacy policy before downloading the apps. You can always uninstall the app if you are not happy with it.
  • From what I have researched, when using these apps, it is better to use a different browser than the one you normally use.

There you have it; all of these apps together can make you a good amount per year. The best part is all these are PASSIVE ways of making extra cash.

Go ahead and start your passive income stream for the new year. You can start planning on how to spend your $1,500 next year!!
